10 Jan 2017

London – January 10, 2017 – ToolsGroup announced today that their European customers won three awards for supply chain excellence in 2016. Those customers demonstrated advanced supply chain planning and collaboration in multiple areas, including:

  • Telecom provider O2 was awarded Retail Week’s Supply Chain “Mark of Excellence” Collaboration Award for their unique approach to supply chain collaboration and sales and operations planning (S&OP) – Click here for more information.
  • Pharmacy chain Lilly Apothek and ToolsGroup’s local partner Veridix were awarded “Outstanding Logistics Project 2016” for Centralised Planning, Inventory Optimisation and Order Automation in Retail from the Serbian Logistics Association (SLA).
  • O2 also won the European Supply Chain Excellence Award in the Hi Tech and Electronics Industry category. According to the award sponsor’s spokesperson, “The judges liked the way that supply chain was regarded as pivotal in winning and retaining customers, took an industry-leading approach to collaboration, planning, forecasting and replenishment, and used vendor managed inventory where appropriate.” (Previously, ToolsGroup customer Costa Express won a European Supply Chain Excellence Award in 2013 for delivering “staggering results”)

ToolsGroup and their SO99+ software shared the limelight with customers and partners, demonstrating the collaborative nature of the winning projects.

ToolsGroup Marketing VP Jeff Bodenstab commented, “These award-winning customers have moved well beyond the ‘stage two maturity’ plateau where many supply chains get stuck. As companies across Europe continue to battle uncertainty, we believe that supply chains that meet the highest standards of excellence will prevail.”
