Software Team Lead

Duties

Directly contribute to the codebase through collaboration and ensure the quality of the team’s technical output. Ensure adherence to architecture standards. Enforce coding standards and guidelines. Work closely with the Engineering Manager, Architect and Product Owner. Guide the team through team coordination including design, development, and maintenance of software code. Perform pull requests, code reviews for coding best practices and security requirements. Mentor team members as needed to help develop their skill sets. Collaborate with architect group in design sessions. Contribute to the actual codebase as an individual contributor. Partner with Product Owner to produce delivery estimates and manage the transition from analysis through to design and delivery. Provide regular and effective progress updates. Work closely with management to communicate any delivery risks or issues. Position is fixed location based in Irvine office; however, telecommuting may be permitted up to two (2) days per week.

 

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems, Information Technology or a directly related field plus seven (7) years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation with software development experience. Employer will accept an Associate’s degree plus nine (9) years of described experience. Experience must include:

 

Seven (7) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Microsoft Development Stack, including Microsoft.NET (C#, .Net Framework, .Net Core)
  • SQL Server, including data modeling, indexing, basic performance considerations and writing stored procedures.

 

Five (5) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Retail Planning
  • Merchandise Financial Planning
  • Retail Assortment Planning
  • Retail Logistics

 

Two (2) years of experience with the following (experience may be gained con

  • Git/Bitbucket experience
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Configuring and working with Containers and Microservices Architecture
