A Strategic Planning Suite is available for creating
detailed models of the physical distribution network, including transportation
links, expected product flows and warehouse stock and fulfillment levels.
Analysis of actual performance, when compared to that obtained with different
design alternatives, supplies powerful decisional support for re-modeling
the distribution network.
The Strategic Planning Suite also allows the user to test different parameters
and policies (replenishment frequency, lot sizes, lead times, delays), creating,
for each hypothesis, a detailed map of all major logistic costs through
the different stages of the supply chain. |
