TFL Italia SpA, the Italian company forming part of the
German chemical Group TFL (with an annual turnover of 350 million Euro),
has chosen Toolsgroup's supply chain planning software DPM
- Distribution Planning Model for inventory planning along the entire
distribution network.
DPM technology will be implemented as a bolt on to TFL's current SAP system
R/3.
TFL selected Toolsgroup's unique technology DPM following an internal
decision to establish more efficient inventory management processes within
those distribution warehouses that lead the market. In Italy these warehouses
are concentrated in the industrial zones of Veneto, Tuscany and Campania.
It is from these distribution warehouses, along with the central warehouse
located in Buscate (Hinterland of Milan) that TFL serves all of Italy
and other countries within Europe and Asia.
