Toolsgroup, global leader in Service-Driven Supply
Chain Planning and Optimisation technology has signed an agreement with
PC City (Dixons Group) and Accenture for implementing DPM
(Distribution Planning Model), technology for Supply Chain Planning.
PC City, one of Spains's leading specialist retailers of consumer electronics
has chosen Toolsgroup technology and Accenture for the consolidation of
its ambitious plan for growth and expansion in Spain: 50 stores within
5 years. Currently, PC City has 7 'superstores' around the country.
Toolsgroup Spain will implement
DPM for PC City's stores network; a highly reliable "Service-Driven SCP
suite". DPM enables top management to plan and define service-policy,
improve forecast, reduce stock and supply costs and, above all, to improve
service level; thus implementing optimal replenishment throughout the
supply chain accordingly, a key process for retailers.
Toolsgroup has extensive experience in supply chain planning for vertical
markets such as chemical distribution, pharmaceutical, electrical appliances,
retail and automotive spare parts. Some of their main clients in Spain
are Repsol, Quimidroga, Casbega (Coca-Cola), Amara (Grupo Iberdrola),
Font Vella, Gallina Blanca (Grupo Agrolimen), Consum (Grupo Eroski), Indo,
Laboratorios Esteve, Gallego Vilar and Krafft.
